According to Gizmodo, Sunde has asked users to stop donating money to help them pay the heavy fines.

“We have seen that some people that we don’t know have started collecting donations for us, so we can pay those silly fines. We firmly ask you NOT to do this. Do not gather or send any money. We do not want them since we will not pay any fines!”

Among the improvements SP2 will add is the ability to save as ODF (Open Document Format) and PDF.

WSUS Product Team Blog posted a blog post with a little information on Office 2007 SP2:

Service Pack 2 for the 2007 Office System will be made available in April. Service Pack 2 includes some significant work, including: built-in ability to save as ODF and PDF formats, improvements to Outlook’s performance and calendar reliability, significant bug fixes for charts in core Office applications, the ability for client service packs to be removed using an uninstall tool, and a host of customer-requested improvements to the Office Server products. It is also a rollup of all fixes that have previously been released for Office 2007 products.

“In working with Facebook, we were able to add detection of Koobface to our Malicious Software Removal Tool (MSRT), which checks computers running Windows software to detect and remove viruses” said Jeff Williams, a principal group program manager for the MRST.

“The MSRT has removed Koobface nearly 200,000 times from more than 133,600 computers around the world just in the past two weeks” he also said.

Koobface is a mass-mailing virus that gives Facebook users announcements like “You look funny in this new video” and when the user clicks on the link he is prompted to download a Trojan masked as an Adobe Flash update. This Trojan can then acquire the users Facebook password and other information.

The laptop is called S121 and is an Atom based ultra-portable. The 512GB SSD that it has is significantly bigger than other SSD driver on the market, which range from 60GB to 128GB.

Laptops with SSD drives that are on sale now are extremely expensive but according to Asus their new 512GB SSD laptop will be priced at $1649.

If you want to use a keyboard and a mouse instead of the Xbox 360 controller the XIM 2 lets you do that. It’s availabe from XIM’s website and costs $180.

Although it could be nice to use a keyboard and a mouse in some games I think it will take out the fun in online multiplayer, especially shooters, because some people will be using a mouse and some the controller.
